I have been back at school since Austin was 4 weeks old and things have gone surprisingly well. I'm only taking 8 credits this semester and the only thing I really have to do in my classes is either show up or teach. 8 credits is a breeze compared to the normal 18 I take! Having a baby was totally worth it even though I'm still in school. The baby weight has fallen off too (45lbs! yikes!) and I still have a little bit of a belly, but I'm hoping that will go away too with some good exercise.
I managed to make it to my first week of classes this semester and even run around in one of them (my innovative games class). I was full term and past my due date at this point, so I'm pretty certain that I scared the poop out of my classmates when I decided to run. The look on their faces was priceless. They honestly told me they were afraid Austin was going to fall out. All I could think was, 'Well, it's about time that he does!' I'm sure I got some strange stares from people on campus too because I doubt they usually see a 40 weeks pregnant women in college let alone attending class still. Such great memories!
